Thanksgiving Fires in Melonie Park Neighborhood Ruled as Arson

An outbreak of fires over Thanksgiving Day has been ruled as arson.

Multiple fences were set ablaze last Thursday in the area of the 4000 block of 68th Street, and the 3700 and 3800 blocks of 69th Street, and a car was set on fire in the 7000 block of Miami Avenue.

The first fire was set around 1:30 a.m., and the last was set at 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

No injuries have been reported. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crimeline at 741-1000.
