A 22-year-old Lubbock woman has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty yesterday to her involvement in a fatal shooting during what police have said was a robbery gone wrong. Charity Wilcots had been charged with capital murder in the death of 28-year-old Marqus Lewis, but she pleaded guilty to murder and three unrelated aggravated robberies. Wilcots will not be eligible for parole for 25 years. Lewis was found shot to death last year inside a home in the 5600 block of Grinnell Street. Charges are pending against two teenagers also accused in the case.
