The 36th Infantry Division Band will be performing a series of concerts in West Texas, including appearances this weekend at the Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock and at Buffalo Springs Lakes. The band’s classical woodwinds and jazz ensemble will perform Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Silent Wings Museum. On Sunday at 6 a.m. the band will provide the Triathlon Kick-Off Music at Buffalo Springs. Other West Texas performances begin today, starting at San Angelo tonight and moving to Odessa tomorrow evening. Other performances are set for Sunday evening in Amarillo and Tuesday night at Wichita Falls. The 36th Infantry Division band is composed of members of the Texas Army National Guard, along with law enforcement people and other civilians. The West Texas appearances are part of a 15-date summer concert series scheduled across the state.
