LCU Still Alive In NAIA World Series Despite Loss

Lubbock Christian University has suffered a setback in its bid to be in the championship game of the NAIA World Series at Lewiston, Idaho. The Chaparrals suffered their first loss in the double elimination competition, falling to Lee University of Tennessee 1 to nothing. That defeat means that that the two teams must play again tonight. The winner will take on Concordia of California in tomorrow night’s title game. Last night Lee’s left-handed pitcher Shay Crawford ) struck out 12 LCU batters to record the first one-hitter in the NAIA World Series since 1986.
