Lubbock Christian University has advanced in the championship bracket of the NAIA World Series at Lewiston, Idaho. The Chaparrals beat LSU-Shreveport 3 to nothing last night behind the three-hit pitching of Mike Marshall, who was playing with a broken foot. This evening at 9, LCU will play Lee University of Tennessee, and LSU-Shreveport plays Concordia of California. If LCU wins tonight, the Chaps will be in the championship game against either LSU-Shreveport or Concordia—and either opponent would have to beat LCU twice to deprive the Chaps of the championship.
