Lubbock Lawmen Seek Robbery Suspects In Two Separate Holdups

Lubbock authorities are seeking suspects in two armed robberies this week at a convenience store and an adult book shop.  City police are trying to track down three armed people who robbed the Stripes store at 19th Street and Milwaukee Avenue around 3 a.m. yesterday. They threatened employees at gunpoint and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a lone gunman involved in a holdup Monday night at the C&L Bookstore located at  9621 Highway 114. That suspect is described as a black standing about  5 feet 7 and weighing 160 pounds, who had a blue bandana on his head and a white bandana covering his face. He was wearing dark blue pants and a black, long- sleeve “dickies” style shirt. Officers said the man pointed a black gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register. The suspect was last seen running east.  Anyone with information about either of the holdups is urged to call Crime Line at 741-1000.
