A Big Spring High School senior has won this year’s Congressional Art Contest for the 19th District of Texas. Congressman Randy Neugebauer announced Sara Goza yesterday as the winner, along with runners-up from Shallowater, Lubbock Monterey and Lubbock-Cooper. Neugebauer said Miss Goza’s painting called “Dreams” will hang in the Cannon Tunnel used by visitors from all over to walk to the Capitol. Paintings by the runners-up will hang in Neugebauer’s district offices in Abilene, Big Spring and Lubbock. The runners-up are Lauren Fritz of Shallowater High School, Christopher Marin of Lubbock Monterey High, and Sarah Robinson of Lubbock-Cooper High.
