Armed Hispanic Pair Sought In Two Early Morning Holdups

Lubbock police are looking for two men responsible for two armed robberies between midnight and dawn yesterday. The first holdup occurred just after 2 a.m. at  a 7-11 store on 50th and University. Police were told that two Hispanic men dressed in navy blue shirts, blue jeans and dark scarves over their faces held up the store. One pulled a silver revolver on the clerk while the other messed with the surveillance camera. Later, around 4 a.m., two men hit a Whataburger at 72nd and Quaker in south Lubbock. Those men were also described as Hispanics wearing bandanas, dark shirts and blue jeans. One pulled a silver revolver at one of the employees and may have hit her in the face with it. Anyone with information about the men is urged to call Crime Line at 741-1000.
