Red Flag Warning in Effect Until Late Tuesday Evening, Wednesday Fire Weather Watch Announced

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the South Plains, Panhandle, and Eastern New Mexico regions until 9 p.m.

A Fire Weather Watch will remain in effect for Wednesday afternoon through the evening as well, which could be upgraded to a red flag warning at any time.

Winds between 25 and 35 miles per hour, low relative humidity, and an area already badly stressed by drought leave the possibility of rapid fire development.
