City of Lubbock Reminds Citizens to Drive on the Street, and not the Local Parks

With warm weather upon us, the City of Lubbock wants to remind citizens to keep their vehicles off the grass at city parks and property.

The City says that driving on park property damages both turf and irrigation sprinkler systems, resulting in costly repairs.

Citizens are also asked not to park on the grass surrounding soccer fields and softball, baseball, and little league ball fields.

Lubbock police are able to ticket anyone parking or driving on City park land.
