Principal Injured As He Tried To Stop A Man From Stabbing A Teacher

Lubbock police were called to Rise Academy this morning when a man tried to stab a teacher.

KAMC-TV reported that the principal of the school  said he suffered a cut or scratch on his back when he tried to stop the man with the knife  from attacking the teacher.  The man surrendered to police. The teacher was not injured.

Police believe the suspect is the same man who set a woman on fire earlier at the Stone Hollow Apartments on East Cornell.  The woman was taken to UMC’s Burn Unit and was reported to be in critical condition.
