Landtroop Lauds Creation Of Fund To Aid Volunteer Fire Units

State Representative Jim Landtroop said yesterday the Texas Forest Service has created a vehicle for Texans to assist volunteers who have battled state wildfires. The Volunteer Firefighter Emergency Assistance Fund will receive donations which will go to volunteer firefighter departments. Landtroop said donations to the Volunteer Firefighter Emergency Assistance Fund can be mailed to the Texas Forest Service at the John B. Connally Building at College Station. Landtroop said, quote: “Texas has been affected tremendously by wildfires, and it is my hope that this fund can provide much needed support for our dedicated volunteers.”
