Ribbon Cutting for New Animal Shelter Today

A ribbon cutting today at Lubbock’s new animal shelter marked the first step of fully opening $4.8 million facility.

The center, located between Martin Luther King Jr blvd and southeast drive near the south loop, should fully open in about a month when they begin moving animals into the facility.

Facility officials hope the new, updated facility will minimize the spread of disease in their animals.
