State Reps. Landtroop and Perry Speak Out Against Proposed Redistricting Map

State Representatives Jim Landtroop and Charles Perry are jointly speaking out against the proposed redistricting map for the Texas House of Representatives.

In the map proposed by Rep. Burt Solomons of Carrolton, Landtroop and Perry’s districts would be combined into one district.  However, the larger concern noted by both Landtroop and Perry is that West Texas would lose three state reps, rather than the projected one.

Landtroop also noted that the changes in the Texas House could hurt Texas Tech’s ability to gain Tier One status.
