A mother at Sudan learns that her two young sons are dead and her estranged husband at Graham is charged with killing them. The bodies of Lauren Smith’s children were found beneath a relative’s house in Graham yesterday after a 10-hour search by police. Authorities at the town south of Wichita Falls have charged 28-year-old Gabriel Armandariz, with capital murder in the deaths of the boys, 6-month Luke and two-year-old Gatlin. Before the bodies were found, the mother received threatening cell phone messages, one finally with a graphic picture of her oldest son’s body. The mother reportedly had moved with her sons to Sudan in October. Armandariz would travel from Graham to visit them about once a week until he took them away, reportedly without Smith’s consent. The mother was in the process of seeking custody of the children. Armandariz is held in the Young County Jail in lieu of a 1.5 million dollar bond.
