South Plains College Bluegrass Fest to be Preceded by Bluegrass Art Show

South Plains College’s music department will present a show of music combined with visual art later this month. The College’s bluegrass music faculty will present a Bluegrass Art Show, prior to the 2011 Bluegrass Fest concert on April 28th.

The artwork, now in the newly-redesigned Bluegrass Ensemble rehearsal room in the Creative Arts building, includes pencil drawings, and a life-sized silkscreen of a Gibson F-5 mandolin.

The art show begins at 5 p.m., with Bluegrass Fest, with performances of students and special guests beginning in the Tom T. Hall production studio at 6 p.m.
