A driver who had a record of three previous DWIs pleaded guilty yesterday to causing an accident while drunk again and gravely injuring a Lubbock County sheriff’s deputy. Forty-seven-year-old Antonio Aleman agreed to a 17-year sentence for the head-on collision last May that sent Cpl. Scott Duncan to the hospital for several days.. Officers said Aleman’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.204 when he ran into the deputy’s vehicle on FM 1585. Aleman’s probation for his third DWI was revoked after the latest accident, and he was sentenced to 10 years. The 17-year and 10-year sentences will run concurrently.
