March Tax Revenue Figures for Texas Released; Lubbock Sees Small Increase

The Texas Comptroller’s Office today released March sales tax revenue figures for the state.

During the month of March $1.6 billion dollars were collected in state sales tax, up 9.9 percent compared to March of 2010.

Texas sales tax revenues have increased for 12 consecutive months.

Cities, counties and other taxing authorities across the state will receive a total of $417.6 million dollars from the Comptroller’s office in sales tax allocations.

Lubbock’s sales tax allocation is $3.54 million dollars, an increase of almost 2 percent compared to the previous April.
