Travelers at Lubbock’s Preston Smith International Airport will have a new direct destination after this weekend.
Beginning this Sunday, United Airlines will begin service between Lubbock and Denver with two departures and arrivals daily.
The new route will run seven days a week, with 9:00 a.m. and 1:53 p.m. departures to Denver, and arrivals at 1:28 p.m. and 9:53 p.m. daily from Denver, except Saturday evening, when the flight will arrive at 6:45 p.m.
United is the largest airline at Denver International Airport, with more than 420 daily departures around the United States, Latin America, and Canada. United Express last flew out of Lubbock in 1997.
