Tech Board of Regents Set Tuition Increase Cap for Upcoming Semesters

The Texas Tech Board of Regents has approved a tuition and fee increase cap for the fall 2011 and spring 2012 semesters.

The total increase of both tuition and fees for a student taking 15 credit hours will be a maximum of $253, or 5.9 percent.

Texas Tech President Guy Bailey said the possible increase in tuition is to help offset some of the state-requested budget cuts. The full board of regents will set the increase at the May meeting.
