Lubbock ISD Trustees to Consider Bids for Football Field Improvements Friday Morning

The first step in improvements for some Lubbock ISD athletics facilities may be taken at their board of trustees meeting tomorrow morning.

The school board will consider bids for improvements for football fields at LISD high schools.

The improvements are part of the $198 million dollars in bond funds approved by voters last November.

    You’ve got to be kidding!

We’re laying off teachers and spending millions on astroturf.

  2. Burley Owen Says:

No Shirley, they are not kitting. LISD tried to hide the true amount of money going into athletics by splitting it up in different areas. Out of the recently passed $198 million bond election $57 million will be spent on athletic facilities. That is just a hair under 30% of the total bond. Yet, we cannot afford to keep teachers? This is just one of many examples of the financial irresponsibility by LISD and its Board.
