Lubbock ISD to Host Country’s Largest Destination Imagination Tournament This Weekend

Lubbock ISD will host the largest student creative problem solving competition in the country this weekend.

More than 2,400 students will compete in the Texas Destination Imagination tournament, which is expected to bring Lubbock over 1.2 million dollars, according to the Lubbock Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Ten Lubbock ISD DI teams qualified for the state tournament, with two teams from Lubbock High School representing the district in the high school division.

The competition will take place Saturday at Monterey High School, with ceremonies being held at the United Spirit Arena.
