City of Lubbock Housing Authority, South Plains Housing Authority Receives HUD Grants

HUD, the U.S. Housing and Urban Development, will award over $3.2 million dollars in grants to 33 different public housing agencies across the state.  The grants are to help low-income, Section 8, families receive additional education and job training so they become self-sufficient.

Some of the agencies receiving grant money include the City of Lubbock Housing Authority, they will receive $39,390 dollars; the South Plains Regional Housing Authority will receive $17,052 and the City of Amarillo will receive $36,009.
