Abilene Looks to Neighbors to Help Solve Water Supply Issues

Abilene could partner with two West Texas cities to work on the issue of water supply.

The Abilene Reporter-News says the city is considering joining a partnership with Midland and San Angelo to address water needs, something Abilene Mayor Norm Archibald says makes sense financially and geographically.

If such a partnership was formed, the three towns would evaluate and possibly share resources, as well as investigate methods of water transportation.

Proposals will be presented to the towns’ city councils at their next meetings.
