Sex Offender Indicted for Failing to Register

A grand jury yesterday charged a man for failing to register as a sex offender.

Douglas Arnold Jr. has been in custody since his arrest last month in Big Spring.

Official documents show Arnold had out of state sex offense convictions, and did not register the required amount of times while in Delaware.

He also did not inform authorities when he moved to Texas.

When he was arrested he was found to be living with a couple and their three year old daughter, which violated terms of his previous conviction.

If convicted, Arnold could face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
