Controversial No-Call Costs LCU In SAC Tournament Game

Lubbock Christian University’s men suffered a triple-overtime loss in the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament at Oklahoma City—and the end came with a controversial no-call. Five seconds were left in the third overtime with LCU trailing 104 to 103 when the Chaparrals’ Rashad Sample had a layup shot blocked against the glass without goal-tending being called. The game was tied at the end of regulation 77-all, then 85-all at the end of the first overtime and 93-93 at the end of the second extra period. Earlier in the SAC tournament , the LCU Lady Chaps had beaten beat Wayland Baptist 94 to 76.
