Tech Animal and Food Science Group Honored for International Collaborations

Texas Tech animal and food scientists have received recognition for collaborative teamwork across the border. An international research team from Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, and the International Center for Food Industry Excellence will be honored at an event in Washington, D.C. in March.

The groups will be recognized at the Agriculture, Food, Nutrition, and Natural Resources R&D Round Table. Tech’s International Center for Food Industry Excellence helped develop a collaborative approach to improve the safety of meat products in Mexico, where food-borne illness is a leading cause of mortality in children.
