Former Employee At Two Lubbock Banks Admits Embezzling Nearly $800,000

A former bank employee has pleaded guilty to embezzling nearly 800,000 dollars from a customer’s line of credit at two Lubbock banks. The embezzling occurred over several years, beginning first at Plains Capital Bank where Mary Frances Dunn was a loan assistant. The thievery continued later when Dunn went to work at City Bank, where the customer moved the line of credit.  The two banks say no customers suffered from the embezzlement. Dunn faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million dollar fine.
