According to a KFYO  survey, the average price for regular self-serve gas in Lubbock is $3.12 a gallon.  That’s up 12 cents from our survey last Friday.  Overall, prices for regular self-serve gas range from $3.05  to $3.17 a gallon.

According to a AAA Texas survey, the average price in Texas this week is $3.05, up 5 cents from Friday.

The cheapest gas among the 11 Texas cities surveyed by AAA is in Corpus Christi, $2.98 a gallon.

The most expensive … in Amarillo, $3.09 a gallon.

Nationally, the average price is $3.19, up 3 cents.

Back in Lubbock, KFYO found a 7-11 store with a sign advertising gas for less than a penny a gallon.   The sign, at Frankford and 82nd, was apparently in error, because the pump showed self-serve regular gas selling for $3.12 a gallon.
