Councilman Hernandez to Sell Downtown Office Building That Began City Charter Inquiry

District 1 Lubbock City Councilman Victor Hernandez has announced that he plans to sell the downtown office building which he recently owed back property taxes on.

Hernandez made the announcement this afternoon, saying “With our oldest child currently attending college, and our second oldest child being a high school senior, it makes sense to continue to streamline our lives.”

He is asking $737,000 for the 13,000 square foot Ralli House, which houses his law office.

KFYO first brought you the story recently of Hernandez being in violation of the city charter for holding office while having outstanding debt to the city.
