Buddy Holly Center Remembers “The Day the Music Died”

Today marks the 52nd Anniversary of “The Day the Music Died” as a tragic plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa in 1959, claimed the lives Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson- The Big Bopper.

In recognition of this historic event, the Buddy Holly Center will be open with free admission until 6:30 this evening.

A book signing with Gary Moore has been canceled.
