Perry Would Probably Vote Against Smoking Ban

Legislation supported by Lt. Governor David Dewhurst would prohibit smoking in indoor workplaces, including restaurants and bars.  On Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, state rep Charles Perry had mixed feelings about the proposal.

“I personally would love to see us in a smoke-free society, but it’s not the role of state government in my opinion,” Perry told KFYO.

Perry said he would probably vote against the bill, but first he wants to see the specifics of the legislation that actually comes up for a vote.
