Volunteers Help Count Lubbock Homeless

Over 40 people hit the streets today to help count the homeless population in the City of Lubbock.

Volunteers located homeless people across the city, and asked them to fill out surveys asking their race, background, and why they are homeless.

The data collected by the volunteers will be used to apply for grants and determine how resources should be used.

Last year over 700 people in Lubbock were identified as homeless.
