Neugebauer Wants Disaster Declaration For Texas

Like other elected officials in Texas, Congressman Randy Neugebauer is frustrated about the administration’s denial of Governor Rick Perry’s request for a Major Disaster Declaration in response to damage caused by wildfires in Texas.  In a statement on his website, Neugebauer said:

“FEMA Director Craig Fugate and President Obama do not seem to recognize the damage that has been done in our state.  Many other states have not been left to combat an uncontrollable tragedy with only state resources.”

Neugebauer said he will work with his colleagues to learn why FEMA did not grant Texas a Major Disaster Declaration.
