Neugebauer Co-Sponsors Bill To Ensure Military Pay Continues If A Government Shutdown Occurs

Congressman Randy Neugebauer is co-sponsoring HR 1297, the Ensuring Pay for Our Military Act. 

As the title suggests, HR 1297 would provide emergency funding to ensure that those in uniform will receive their pay and allowances in full and on time in the event of a government shutdown.  That could occur as early as this weekend. 

“If Congress fails to pass a funding bill and the government shuts down, the military should not have to wait until Congress resolves the funding to receive pay and benefits,” Neugebauer wrote on his website.
