Mother Of Missing Hailey Dunn Is Arrested At Colorado City

The mother of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn is appearing before a magistrate in Mitchell County this morning to respond to misdemeanor charges related to the disappearance of the Colorado City cheerleader. Billie Jean Dunn was arrested at her Colorado City home yesterday and charged with hindering apprehension and prosecution, possession of dangerous drugs and obstructing justice. The mother was being held in the Mitchell County Jail without bond. Billie Jean Dunn’s former live-in boyfriend was named a person of interest after Hailey went missing December 28th. Shawn Adkins previously told The Associated Press that he would “never ever do anything to harm Hailey,” but affidavits claimed that both he and Hailey’s mother lied on polygraphs. The two deny any involvement in the girl’s disappearance.
