Neugebauer: ‘Bullies’ can’t be allowed to keep leaders away from the people

Lubbock’s Congressman Randy Neugebauer says he’s shocked at the shooting of a congresswoman and others in Arizona but that bullies cannot prevent the people’s representatives from being out among their constituents. Neugebauer told KAMC-28 he is occasionally concerned for his safety during public events, but that the incident in Arizona involving Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will not stop him from meeting and greeting people. Neugerbauer said, quote: “This is the peoples house and the structures of being in the House of Representatives is to represent the people. We work for the people and we’re not going to let these bullies make us afraid to be out among the people that we represent.”
