Tech senior guard Roberson is suspended indefinitely

It was one win on the road and one loss at home for Texas Tech’s basketball teams last night. The Red Raiders lost a tough one to New Mexico 61 to 60  at United Spirit Arena. They were playing without senior guard John Roberson, who has been suspended by Coach Pat Knight for an unspecified violation of team rules. Knight said how long Roberson is suspended will depend on his attitude. Knight said, quote: “If you’re going to be a bad teammate, you’re going to pay the consequences.” The defeat to the Loboes left Tech with a 6 and 7 record.  Meanwhile the Lady Raiders were beating Western Kentucky at Bowling Green, 70 to 60. Tech’s Kierra Mallard scored 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. The Lady Raiders now have won 12 of 13 games.
