Wolfforth Police Acknowledge Domestic Violence Call at Home of Former Tech Defensive Coordinator

More information is out on the sudden resignation of Texas Tech Football’s defensive coordinator. James Willis announced yesterday that he was leaving the program immediately to pursue other career opportunities.

KAMC-28 now reports that Wolfforth police acknowledge that there was a domestic violence call placed at the home occupied by 38-year-old Willis in the early morning hours of December 22nd.

Wolfforth police say that a 33-year-old woman claimed she was the victim of domestic abuse from a 38-year-old man. No arrests have been made, and the incident is currently being investigated.

So far, Texas Tech football has not acknowledged any correlation between the domestic violence incident and Willis’s resignation.
