Man Who Fled From Morning Wreck Captured Outside Sweetwater

Police spent about an hour this morning searching for a man suspected of hitting another vehicle, then fleeing the scene. The crash between the Ford Pickup truck and a solid waste truck happened early this morning at the Clovis Highway and Frankford Avenue.

22-year-old Brandon Medford was reportedly involved in the accident, then told the other driver that he was going to call police from a nearby gas station, but fled the scene. Officers found Medford at a trailer park just outside Shallowater.

Medford was wanted for parole violations. Nobody was injured in the wreck.
