Lubbock Raid Nets Seizure of Over 1,000 Marijuana Plants

Three Lubbock men today were arrested and charged in a federal indictment with conspiracy to grow and distribute marijuana.  In a joint operation with LPD, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Department, Texas DPS and the Drug Enforcement Agency; 34 year-old Kyle Brandon Walker, 27 year-old Shawn Mark McCardell and 21 year-old Justin Michael Rascher were arrested.  They will make their initial court appearance tomorrow morning. 

All three men are charged with one count of conspiracy to manufacture, distribute and possess with intent to distribute 1000 or more marijuana plants and 100 kilograms or more of marijuana.  Kyle Walker was additionally charged with two more counts of distribution and one count of maintaining drug-involved premises on White River Lake in Crosby County. 

If convicted, all three men face a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $4,000,000 fine and Walker would also have to forfeit three pieces of real estate and a pickup truck.
