Neugebauer Calls Food Safety Bill A Power Grab

“This is a huge new grab of power  by the FDA.”

That’s the reaction from Congressman Randy Neugebauer to legislation that would increase the power of the Food and Drug Administration.

“What this new law would allow FDA to do is say ‘I don’t like the way you’re growing your crops, or we don’t like the way you’re processing that…you have  to put all this new equipment  in, or you have to change your production methods.’”

The Senate has already approved the bill.
