Hit-and-run driver still sought for critically injuring pedestrian

A Lubbock man remains in critical condition at UMC after being struck on the street by a hit-and-run driver still being sought by authorities. Lubbock police are asking information from possible witnesses who may have seen what happened Thursday night on Slide Road when a vehicle hit 40-year-old Eddie King and fled the scene. King was believed to having been going across Slide near 51st Street when he walked in front of a northbound vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Line at 741-1000.
