Theft Suspect Caught Using DNA Evidence Database

A man is now in jail under a $50,000 bond after stealing two 30-packs from a Lubbock 7-11.

24 year old Samuel Salinas used a brick to smash in the window of a 7-11 on 19^th street this past August, leaving about $850 in damages.

He was matched to the crime via dna evidence he left on the scene.

He has been jailed since Aug 26 on other charges, including stealing more than $1,500 in credit card abuse.
