Out-of-state lawmen expected for trooper’s funeral

There’ll be a funeral procession in Lubbock today for a state trooper killed in a highway crash Monday night. Services for 28-year-old Jonathan McDonald  are  scheduled at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on Broadway. At three the funeral procession will be making its way from the church to 19^th Street and on to Resthaven Memorial Park and Funeral Home at Frankfort. Officials are expecting as much as a three-mile procession, with many visitors including lawmen arriving from out of Lubbock to pay their respects. McDonald is survived by a wife and infant daughter. Those would wish to help the trooper’s family can donate to a scholarship fund set up  for his daughter at the Citizens Bank in Post.
