Lady Raiders are set for home opener tonight against Samford

Texas Tech’s Lady Raiders play their first regular season home game tonight , no doubt charged up after Friday night’s victory on the road against New Mexico. They host Samford at 7 p.m. today at United Spirit Arena. Samford is the preseason favorite to win the Southern Conference. The 80 to 53 win over New Mexico in The Pit at Albuquerque began in impressive fashion. The Lady Raiders jumped out to 14 to 2 lead early in front of nearly 8,0000 fans and were in control the rest of the way.
