Mistrial Declared in Murder Proceedings of 25-Year-Old

A mistrial has been declared in a Lubbock trial for a man charged with murder. 25-year-old Corey Conner is on trial for murder following a fatal shooting outside an East Lubbock night club last December.

One of the jurors knew a witness in the case, leading Judge Brad Underwood to declare a mistrial. Conner was arrested in Albuquerque early this year after being indicted in the killing of 23-year-old Bobby Dasheon Jones, who was mortally wounded in front of the Fiesta Ballroom in the 1900 block of 4th Street on December 20th.

The trial most likely won’t be taken up again until January.
