Area authorities located a body in Southwest Castro County. Castro County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Texas Rangers, the Lubbock Police Department, and the Texas Department of Public Safety Helicopter team located a body around 10 this morning following a 911 call from a Lubbock man around 3:45a.m.
The caller said that he had shot somebody while hunting. The caller and his brother were reportedly hunting with a third man, when they say they began feeling threatened, and shot the 28-year-old while he was in the driver’s seat of a Nissan Titan. Authorities have not released the identity of the person. Police are treating the incident as a homicide.
