A group home employee has been charged with embezzling a hefty amount of money from disabled residents.
39-year-old Allen Mitchell is charged with 14 felony counts of exploiting the disabled, after authorities discovered that it’s possible that he swindled around $70,000 from at least 14 victims from the Daybreak Group Home and Community Services.
Investigators believe that Mitchell was funneling residents’ trust fund money into his own bank account.
