Police impersonators are sought after trying to enter home

 Police seek two men who reportedly impersonated police officers in attempting to get into a Lubbock home last month. Suspects identified as David Shaffer and Randall Womack displayed a badge when they knocked on a door at 10 p.m. at a residence in the 2300 block of 62nd and screamed for the person inside to open up. A 21-year-old woman inside refused to open the door and the suspects fled. Warrants have been issued for their arrest. Anyone with information about Shaffer and Womack are urged to call Crime Line at 741-1000.
